Originally called the St. Patricks Day Celebration the Hale Mahaolu Ehiku Spring Fling is one of the most anticipated annual events by residents, staff and members of the Maui community.

Housing manager Michelle Payton personally handcrafts the party favors and takes tremendous pride in the decorations and overall look of the event.

Entertainment for past events have included everything from local musicians, martial arts demonstrations, Hula performed by Auntie Doll and her Hula dancers as well as local comedian Chino Laforge.

The Hale Mahaolu kitchen staff led by Terri Raidmae provided the remarkable Irish-influenced meal served by the Ehiku maintenance and grounds staff.

The Hale Mahaolu Ehiku Spring Fling has also been attended by Maui County representatives including former Mayor Alan Arakawa, Chief of Staff Diedre Teagarden and Representative Don Couch.

The guests look forward to participating in the Bonnet Decorating Contest which has featured some of the most creative, funniest and most beautiful bonnets year after year.
