before you apply

1. Decide on which housing sites you want to apply for

Hale Mahaolu offers two types of affordable housing: family and senior. Some sites, as indicated on the application form, are intended for seniors. Our other sites, referred to as “family sites”, can accommodate individuals and families. Browse the various sites in the Senior Housing and Family Housing sections.

2. Check if you meet eligibility requirements

Most sites have income limit requirements, and all residents must be able to achieve an “independent” living status. For more specific information regarding eligibility criteria, please call the respective Hala Mahaolu housing site you are inquiring about.

3. Obtain an application form

You can download and print the pdf application form below. This is a universal form that can be used to apply for any of the sites listed on the form. You must indicate which sites you want to apply for on the form.
